Keeping it Real Reflection
The things that I mainly learned throughout this project was working in a short amount time or more specifically leaning how to work with a strict deadline and I also learned more about the on-going social issue involving the education system.
The project I created was the image located at the top of the page. Why I chose this way of executing our idea is because we got critique and it helped us to get our final product. Also, we decided to go about it this way visually because it's very direct and symbolic which is great for this specific project. Overall, I'm extremely glad on how our piece came out, it looks very professional and it doesn't seem like a bunch of 9th graders did it.
I feel really proud of myself overall and I truly think I did well with interacting with the visitors. The visitors also complimented me and said I did well explaining it as well as creating the piece. After all of our hard work(my group) I don't think we could have improved this art piece in any other way. The final product is our "improvement" we came a long way from our initial idea.
How I think I did with overall communication during exhibition night is a 4/4 considering our rubric. I did all the things on the rubric I made sure I lured people in as well as keeping the conversation going, most importantly I did all this and made eye contact as well. I made sure to stay on topic and it wasn't something difficult since I know this project very well and I practiced before hand. Furthermore, there was a huge crowd that came to see our project which made it quite nosy, so I made sure I tried my best to be loud and clear.
